09-CRAS- omen
The yew tree was completely bare, except for a single golden apple dangling from a branch.
Underneath it, Cras was sitting; his hands were grasping his knees and he was rocking himself back and forth, chanting.
He approached a little and Cras sprang up to face him.
He froze.
Cras moved closer and started examining him.
He felt uncomfortable having his huge beak so close to his face… there was madness in his eyes and He did not know what to do, whether to ask him about the egg or keep silent and leave as soon as possible.
He did not speak.
“…Opal… Death is made of opals… and life is made of opals. If you can only see through the walls,” Cras said.
“The end is the beginning and the beginning is a ring-a-ring-a-roses.”
Then he started running around the tree, and He went away, silently.
