I got to met this men doing taxidermy and he is just an amazingly skilled artisan with a passion for his work.
I had this idea of taxidermy being a bit morbid, but getting to know how it's done and the people who do it, really changed my perspective on things.
the poor creature was a roadkill, btw. It's not like it's been killed on purpose...
Well, I know some people pick up accidented animals and work on them. I have no doubt taxidermy can be considered as an art that requires many skills. But I cannot get out of my mind the image of taxidermy related with hunting, and that's what I find disgusting, even morbid as you said.
I prefer to see live animals, but well, I respect the work of your friends.
